Somerset West Toastmaster Club
Nestled at the foot of the Helderberg mountain, in Somerset West. Here, once a month, a gathering of people meet, each with the intent of bettering themselves in some way.
This is the Helderberg Basin's Toastmasters club, known as Chuckle 'n Chirp.
The vehicle for this self-improvement is speech-making, but there is much more to Toastmasters than simply that. As well as learning the art of speaking before an audience,we gain in many other ways. We have members from all walks of life, and from beginner level through to those with years of practice.
Our name in itself will perhaps give an indication of how we do things in Somerset West, there's a fair amount of chirping and often a lot of chuckling.
Meetings are generally held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (with some exceptions around Christmas/New Year and other holidays).
The venue is the Rotary Club Hall, in Lourensford Road (corner of Cloetenberg Road), Somerset West.
