The Helderberg Nature Reserve has an indigenous nursery, which is staffed by volunteers, sells a variety of plants, trees and shrubs, and is open from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:00.

The advantages of indigenous gardens are two-fold:
- We are putting back into the ground what is naturally ours
- It is the ultimate water-wise garden.
