Date Rape Drug Rife in the Helderberg Basin

Without creating hype, as I despise media hype. When one witnesses the trauma an innocent woman had to endure last night, who was sober, and her drink was spiked with a date rape drug,by some looney sicko male predator.. Apart from the fact it could have been fatal...it's scary and a complete shocker.Apart from having to convince the medics amidst the confusion, to take her to hospital, as they refusing as saying they dont take "drunk people" (when she is falling around on the floor shouting in absolute fear and horror, that there are green men around her)

Then I took her to Hottentots Holland Hospital which was packed with drunk, drugged, beaten, stabbed, overdosed and bloodied patients you could ever imagine. I was horrified to see what goes on in the Helderberg Basin, it's like warzone out there!

Woman in our area need to be very careful and aware of going out in this town, especially they should not take drinks from anyone they don't know. Luckily for this woman it all ended well. Thanks to the medical assisatance at  HH Hospital and having rescued her from the would be rapist.

How much of this attempted or God forbid "date rape" drug cases happen,or am I just a little naive here? From what I am hearing, it's still very rife. It brings up so many questions: Are our police geared to deal with this? To public bars have CCTV recordings to catch these cowards? How much of this is actually reported?  I was trying to calm her down, and she felt so embarrased. To say, taking ones dignity away, would be a mere drop in the ocean, to what I witnessed with this defenseless soul.

After questioning her friends, who did this to her we found out that it was apparently her ex-husdban's friend. Be warned this is happening in the Helderberg's night clubs.
