Water Supply Shut Down Somerset West

Date:               10 July 2012
Subject:          NOTICE – WATER SUPPLY SHUTDOWN
_____________________________________________________________________

To the Occupier/Residents

The City of Cape Town has appointed  a contractor, JVR Construction to carry out construction work on the water mains, within Irene Ave between Athol and Acton Streets.

It will be necessary to cut off the water supply between the hours of 8:00 and 17:00 on Thursday 12 July 2012.

Residents are kindly requested to store sufficient water in clean, sealed containers for domestic consumption in order to minimise the inconvenience.

Residents are also reminded that, although the City has made all efforts to shut down the water supply by closing various valves for this purpose, they should treat the water supply to/on their premises as uninterrupted (normal) and be cognisant of the fact that unattended open taps could lead to water wastage and possible damage to property once the water supply is brought back on line.

Your co-operation and assistance would be greatly appreciated as this work may be regarded as safeguarding the efficiency of supply to all residents for the future.

The City wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Should you require any clarification on this project please do not hesitate to contact us.
