Whats on at the Playhouse Somerset West?

The Hottentots Holland Dramatics Society and The Playhouse Theatre, is very
proud to present Beth Henley’s Crimes of the Heart, Directed by Kelly
Westraad


At the core of the tragic comedy are the three Magrath sisters, Meg, Babe and
Lenny, who reunite at Old Granddaddy’s home in Hazlehurst, Mississippi after
Babe shoots her abusive husband.  The sisters were raised in a dysfunctional
family, their mother committed suicide and the father was absent during their
upbringing.  Each sister has endured her share of hardship and misery.  Past
resentments bubble to the surface as they’re forced to deal with assorted
relatives and past relationships while coping with the latest incident that
has disrupted their lives.  Each sister is forced to face the consequences of
the “crimes of the heart” she has committed.

Show dates are 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12 October 2012
Show times are 8pm.  No late admissions will be allowed.
