Tragic Week for Somerset West / Strand

This week, a police officer from Broad-land's Village in the Strand, shot and killed his four year old son, his wife and her sister and then shot himself. It is not clear yet as to the reasons or motive. But, it seems to be a common for SAPS police members committing Family Murders. One, wonders why regular physiological tests and interviews with family members are not conducted? A police officer should hand in his weapon after duty, there are also countless cases of SAPS members whom have had their firearms stolen.

Then, in another tragedy, two construction workers were killed when a boundary wall collapsed on-top of them. Apparently another two were critically injured and taken to Tygerberg Hospital.
