Another Armed Robbery in Somerset West CBD

Today, another business in the Somerset West CBD was hit by armed robbers. This time Truworths, Main Road Somerset West. Yesterday afternoon at around 6pm Rose Mc Fall Properties was robbed this while a huge visible SAPS operation was under way in the CBD. In the past few months the following businesses in the CBD of Somerset West have been robbed at gun point:

1. Mr. Price

2. Markhams ( has been robbed at gun point over 5 x) 

3. Legit Clothing Store

4. Woolworths 

5. Truworths 

6. American Swiss (has since closed shop in Somerset West CBD) 

7. A security guard was shot well assisting Circle Pharmacy staff to do banking in front of Vodacom

8. Telkom 

9. Discount Liquor Store (Caledon Street)

10. Deon Wired Somerset Mall 

These robberies are highly organised and happen in a matter of seconds. They seem to scout out the place they are going to hit and seem to know best times when to strike, they clearly have excellent intelligence. The frustrating thing is no suspects have been published and the businesses that have been robbed remain lip tight with the store managers instructing their staff not to speak to the press. Somerset West is turning into the Wild West!
