Two Teachers at De Hoop Primary School Die in Tragic Car Accident in Namibia

This weekend family, friends and the Somerset West Community especially pupils of De Hoop Primary School are in shock at the loss of two beautiful teachers of De Hoop Primary School due to a car accident in Keetmanshoop, outside of Windhoek Namibia.

Lauren Kay Barnard Teacher at De Hoop Primary.

Jacques Barnard also a grade 6 Teacher at De Hoop Primary is in critical condition in a hospital in Windhoek. Richard Barnard was also injured but is not critical.

Our deepest condolences to the family, friends, staff and pupils at De Hoop Primary.

  6. My daughter chatted to Mrs Barnard the day before they left. She was so excited about the future and all that they had in store. Its a devastating loss for all! Condolences to all friends and family.

  14. Baie hartseer en innige simpatie aan die families. Die mens wik, maar God beskik. God praat ook mmet ons deur hierdie tragiese gebeurtenis en daarom moet ons sorg dat ons wat nog in lewe is, geredde mense moet wees. Sterkte aan almal.
