Scuba Diving in the Helderberg Basin

There are some great dive spots in and around the coast line of the Helderberg Basin.

Divers can expect to see lots of fish, crayfish, sea fans and corals and occasionally whales and seals on the surface.

Dives are mainly arranged prior and are weather dependent. Dive charters depart from Gordon's bay some may prefer to do some shore entry dives past Koelbay like Crosses. Interesting NAUI's SA head quarters are based in Gordon's Bay.

Blue Rock also offers a unique fresh water diving spot not to be dived without an experienced dive master.

Unfortunately the scuba diving centre in Blue Rock has closed down.

Indigo Scuba Diving Centre in Gordon's Bay offers internationally recognised scuba diving courses from beginner to instructor level at their friendly dive centre at 16 Bluegum Avenue, Mountainside, Gordon's Bay.

They also have a fully equipped 8 metre dive boat and take divers to the top dive sites along the Gordons Bay Coastline.

I'd highly recommend them. Contact either Deon or Kate Jonker on info@indigoscuba.com or www.indigoscuba.com
