INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPERS
A teenager accused of stabbing a fellow pupil on school property, appeared in the Somerset West Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The 16-year-old boy is accused of stabbing 15-year-old Bradley October at Gordon High School in Somerset West on Wednesday.
It is the second incident this week in which a pupil has been attacked. On Monday, 20-year-old Kasselsvlei High School pupil Alan Manuel was stabbed to death, allegedly by another pupil, while walking home from school.
Bradley has been discharged from hospital. Police spokesman November Filander said the two boys had been fighting when one allegedly pulled out a knife.
“He stabbed the victim in his back. He was transported to hospital, and the suspect was arrested and then released into the care of his parents.”
The 16-year-old was charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Principal Bernard Simons said the boy had been temporarily suspended and the school would initiate disciplinary action.
The Cape Times reported on Thursday that 29 pupils have been stabbed, one of them fatally, on school grounds in the first half of this year.

Undeniably imagine that that you said. Your favourite justification seemed
to be on the web the simplest factor to be mindful of. I say to you, I certainly get
annoyed while other folks think about issues that they just
do not realize about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest as neatly as
defined out the whole thing without having side effect , other folks can take a signal.
Will probably be back to get more. Thank you
