The GB Anchor on the mountain at Gordon's Bay
If you thought the anchor with the letters G.B on the mountain at Gordon's Bay s stood for Gordon's Bay you would be wrong. It actually stands for General Botha the history behind the anchor is on this brass plaque that is situated on the Gordon's Bay Beach Front.Days gone by...Gordon's Bay
How is this for old? This photo (I see a date on the photo 1952) is of "The Dromadarus Replica" arriving in Gordons Bay after sailing from Cape Town. The ship General Botha is in the background keeping station.
