Wedermar Schultz and his stunning wife Ira Schultz are popular Helderberg Basin Celebrities

Waldemar Schultz is a South African actor, director and voice artist best known for his role as Jan-Hendrik Terreblanche in the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan. He was married actress Ira Blanchenberg in 1996. They have 2 children – a son Kieran born in 1999 and a daughter, Dhania, born in 2002. Waldemar grew up in Cape Town and showed a great love for acting from an early age. He studied drama at the University of Stellenbosch, and achieved a Master’s degree in Drama.

Alan and Elna Boesak

The Helderberg Basin is home to the controversial political couple Elna and Alan Boesak.

Alan Boesak was an anti apartheid activist and was the former Chairman for ANC in the Western Cape. He is still very much involved with his church as a minister and also is involved with COPE, his wife Elna Boesak is a journalist and serves many charitable organisations.

S.A.'s greatest Springbok Coach Jake White is now a resident of the Helderberg Basin!

Jake White coached the Springbok Team that won the World Cup 2007 and he is also the co-author of the book In Black and White.

The Helderberg Basin is home to many celebrities. One of them is Trevor Immelman, the Helderberg Basin's very own home grown golfer!

Trevor began playing golf at age 5, following in the footsteps of his golf teaching brother Mark, who is nine years older. Was a scratch player by age 12 and played the African Junior Golf Association Tour from age 13 to 17. Father, Johan, is the former commissioner of the Sunshine Tour.
