Help Needed in Helderberg Township Empowerment Project

Help us empower and uplift tradesmen from the townships in the Helderberg Basin


“What if quality, reliable tradesmen in the townships had the same credibility and resources to market their services as the regular building contractors?” This is the fundamental question that local non-profit organisation TRADE-MARK aims to answer.

“They would have a real chance at prosperity and a renewed hope of a better life for them and their children” Is what we believe the answer is. It is our mission to help bring this about for as many tradesmen from the townships in the Helderberg Basin as we can.

We currently have 8 tradesmen (tilers, pavers, painter and carpenters) on our system and provide this as a free service to the public. So, how do you know that our tradesmen are reliable? We have put all our tradesmen through a rigorous selection process, including a site visit by an industry expert to ensure that they are reliable and work to a very high standard. We also have a feedback and rating system which enables our tradesmen to continually improve their service and adds an incentive for them to deliver the highest quality service.

There are three ways you can help us to reach out and change lives:

1.Use our services (remember, it's FREE!) if you need home renovations and/or tell a friend

2. Recommend quality tradesmen from the townships who we can approach to join our database

3. We URGENTLY need a retired building contractor or project manager with construction experience to conduct site assessments of tradesmen (this will require only a couple of hours a month)
